Learnings:

1. Swindle has a track called Belfast. That doesn’t sound like I imagined Belfast to sound. Belfast sounds alright if it is a fair representation though.

2. On average, Silkie makes the best music to run to. If you live in a large city and only run in late summertime – I can’t vouch for it if you do track/ cross country or work a treadmill.

3. I am super sad that antisocial are no longer on Rinse.

really enjoying the steady stream of output from Bristol. growing up near there, i certainly knew there was darkness. but i never came across this much swing. maybe its a gentrification thing.

listened to a showcase of the new Martyn LP today – ‘Ghost People’.

on the Benji B show. not allowed to call it Deviation I gather.

listened at my desk. MS Word on screen. no-one suspected a thing.

although I was stepping like mad under the desk.

looking forward to the release. ^ artwork from Erosie looks amazing too.

as does the forthcoming 3024 release schedule – the Mosca track in particular – shiny cocaine garage.

on Applepips – a label that I used to follow religiously judging by some of the 12′s I found this weekend. only been 2 or so years since the first release, but in my short frame of reference it feels like an eternity. Needless to say, I will revisit what I have missed.

& anyone know where Appleblim is ? He used to be cool didn’t he. . .? I used to read magazine articles on him and all sorts. Hopefully some more music from him soon.
